台家盛談即心義，真言宗則言即身義。謂即心成佛猶屬理，即身成佛乃屬事實也。日本弘法著有即身成佛義一卷。
The doctrine of the Shingon 真言 sect that the body is also Buddha; in other words Buddha is not only 即心 mind, but body; hence 即身成佛; 即身菩提 the body is to become (consciously) Buddha by Yoga practices.
