jiè wài
三界外之國土也。三界外有諸佛菩薩之淨土，謂之界外，三界謂之界內。此界外之淨土，天台差別為方便有餘土，實報無障礙土之二土。寶窟中末曰：「三界外者名無漏。」

一界外 「界內」之對稱。即指欲界、色界、無色界等三界外之國土。三界乃凡夫生死往來之世界，於此三界外，尚有諸佛菩薩之淨土，此即稱為界外。法華經卷二譬喻品（大九‧一三下）：「以佛教門，出三界苦；怖畏險道，得涅槃樂。」〔大智度論卷九十三〕p4912
