A particle meaning ‘may it be well with (one)’, ‘farewell,’ ‘hail’, ‘adieu’ (with dat. ); svasti Bavate Ś. 2 ; svastyastu te R. 5. 17 ; it is also used in expressing one's approbation; (often used at the beginning of letters).
