(剎帝利); 剎怛利耶 kṣatriya. The second, or warrior and ruling caste; Chinese render it as 田主 landowners and 王種 royal caste; the caste from which the Buddha came forth and therefore from which all Buddhas (如來) spring.
應言剎帝利此譯云土田主也謂王族貴種是也
亦云剎帝利 譯曰田主亦云田護
