pramuñcana ( nt. ), or adj. (in comp. ; to prec. with ana), sending forth (usually rays of light): clearly subst. in raśmijāla-°ne Suv 166.7 , upon the emission of a mass of light (from the sun); in cpds. usually hard to tell whether adj. or n. (if n. , in Bhvr. cpd. ): Gv 3.11 ; 18.9 ; 29.24 (jñānaraśmi-°naḥ, ep. of Buddha); 117.6 (raśmi-); 210.13 ; 269.7 (prabhā-); raśmi-pramocana-, text of KN in SP 17.3 (most mss. pramuñcana) and 7 (here no v.l. in KN ; but WT in both places pramuñcana, with their ms.
