Maskarin (once Mās° ) Gośālīputra (°liputra, °likāputra, Gośalīp°), also Gośālin (= Pali Makkhali Gosāla, said to be founder of the Ājīvakas), n. of one of the six heretical teachers of Buddhaʼs day (see s.v. Pūraṇa Kāśyapa ); named with the others: Mvy 3546 (M° Gośalīputra, so also Mironov ); Divy 143.11 ; Av i.231.4 (Māskarī, n. sg. , Gośā°); Mv i.253.11 Maskarisya ( ms. °ṣya) Gośāliputrasya; 256.20 °rī Gośālī ( n. sg. ); iii.383.15 °rī Gosālikāputro ( mss. °līka°; v.l. Gośā°).
