一作毘那吒迦。又云毘那夜迦。鬼神名。見毘那夜迦條。 Vināyaka，七金山之第六。象頭Gayaśirṣa山之別名。玄應音義二十四曰：「毘那怛迦，此云有障鬼神。有障鬼神，人形象頭，凡見他事皆為障礙。山峰似彼神頭，故以名也。」
毘泥吒迦 vinataka, bowed, stooping, is used with the same meaning as 毘那夜加, and also [Vinataka] for the sixth of the seven concentric circles around Mt. Meru; any mountain resembling an elephant. Also 毘那耶加; 頻那也迦; 毘那耶怛迦; 吠那野怛迦. For 毘那耶 v. 毘柰耶.
都達反此云有障礙神有一鬼神人形象頭凡見他事皆為障礙此之山峯似彼神頭故以名也
