唯一成佛之教法。是法華經所說。法華經方便品曰：「十方佛土中，唯有一佛乘。」同品曰：「但以一佛乘故，為眾生說法。」同品曰：「於一佛乘，分別說三。」金剛頂一字頂輪王儀軌經曰：「十方剎土中，唯有一佛乘如來之頂法，等指諸佛體，是故名智拳。」
The one Buddha-yāna. The One Vehicle, i.e. Mahāyāna, which contains the final or complete law of the Buddha and not merely a part, or preliminary stage, as in Hīnayāna. Mahāyānists claim it as the perfect and only way to the shore ofparinirvāṇa. It is especially the doctrine of the 法華經Lotus Sūtra; v. 大乘.
