Vuttaka (neuter) [vutta 1 + ka. The Pāli conneetion seems to be vac, although formally it may be derived from vr̥t "to happen" etc. (cf. vuttin and vattin, both from vr̥t, and vutti). The BHS equivalent is vr̥ttaka "tale" (literal happening), e.g. Divy 439] what has been said, saying; only in title of a canonical book "Iti-vuttakaṃ" ("logia"): see under iti.
