vE 1 P. ( vAyati ) 1 To dry, be dried. 2 To be languid or weary, be exhausted.
vE ind. A particle of affirmation or certainty (indeed, truly, forsooth), but it is generally used as an expletive; Apo vE narasUnavaH Ms. 1. 10 ; 2. 231 , 9. 49 , 11. 78. &c. It is also said to be a vocative particle, and sometimes shows entreaty or persuasion ( anunaya ).
