upānvāharati , prepares (food, for the table): MSV iii.22 :10 nāpy āhāram °hṛtam; 12 (nāpy āhāra) °hriyate; ib. 97.18—19 upānvāhāraṃ pratyavekṣyopānvāhṛtaṃ cec charaṇapṛṣṭham abhiruhya gaṇḍir dātavyā, having inspected the food-preparation, if it is prepared, he must mount on top of the house and ring the gong .
