ucita , nt. , merit : Karmav 26.23 yathā hy ucitaṃ nikṣiptam, evam … gacchanti durgatim, for as their merit has been thrown away (laid down), so they go to an evil fate . Contrasts with duritam, sin , in 29.14 yathā duritaṃ nikṣiptam, evam … gacchanti sadgatim. (This specialized use of ucita seems nowhere recorded.)
