Uṭṭitvā at Vin II 131 is wrong reading (see page 318, v.l. uḍḍhetvā), and should be read uḍḍitvā or uḍḍetvā (= oḍḍetva, see uḍḍeti), meaning "putting into a sling, tying or binding up".
