Tasati 1 [Sanskrit tr̥ṣyati = Greek τέρσομοι to dry up, Latin torreo (= English torrid, toast), Gothic gapairsan and gapaūrsnan, Old High German derren; see also taṇhā and taṇhīyati] to be thirsty, figurative to crave for S II 13; Miln 254. — past participle tasita 1 .
