( perh. for *saupānīya, or su-pānīya), plenty of good water (?) : (wherever the Buddha Śikhin went) tahiṃ tahiṃ °yaṃ bhoti aṣṭāṅga-saṃmitaṃ ( mss. °mataṃ) Mv iii.94.5 ( vs ); note the closely parallel sumanodyānaṃ, flower-park(s) , in line 7, and see s.v. aṣṭāṅga (2), used regularly of water.
