samasūpika , adj. ( cf. Pali °paka), (food) having curry (sauce) equal (to the rice in amount): na °kam ( sc. pratigrahīṣyāmaḥ) Mvy 8566 ; in the Pali parallels, Vin. iv.190.24 and 192.4 , there is no negative, and samasūpakaṃ must be taken to mean having sauce in the right amount , which acc. to the comm. 892.1 is one quarter of the rice.
