Rakkhati [Vedic raksati, rakṣ to Indo-Germanic °ark (cf. Latin arceo etc.) in enlarged form °aleq = Greek ἁλέξω to protect (Alexander!); ἁλκή strength; Anglo-Saxon ealgian to protect, Gothic alhs = Anglo-Saxon ealh temple.
