(also gen. ) of recipient, instr. 2 pravārayati (= Pali pavāreti), celebrates the pravāraṇa 2 ( °ṇā ) ceremony , at the end of the rainy season: pravāraṇāṃ pravārayitvā Divy 93.10 ; varṣoṣitayā … bhikṣuṇyā ubhayasaṃghas … pravārayitavyo (here caus. in mg. ) Bhīk 5a.3—4 , after the rainy season a nun must have both orders (monks and nuns) perform the pravāraṇā (for her); pravārayitavyam Av ii.136.6 , so read with Corrig. 211 , the pravāraṇā ceremony is to be performed .
