pratijñā (= Pali paṭiññā, ifc. Bhvr. -paṭiñña, in samaṇa-pa° … brahmacāri-pa° Vin. ii.236.25 , same phrase as below), claim, profession (to be something, with implication of falseness and presumption; cf.
