paratIrTika
para-tīrthika , adj. or subst. m. (= tīrthika ; not recorded in Pali , but cf. añña-titthiya, see anya-tīrthika s.v. tīrthika ; occurs in Jain Skt. , see ISt. 10.257 ), adhering to (adherent of) a heretical sect : °ka-niśritānāṃ LV 420.19 ( vs ; so read, see Crit. App. ); 436.10 ; in Mv i.87.5 ( vs ) read with (most) mss. paratīrthikamataṃ teṣāṃ ( Senart em. apara° and om. teṣāṃ, which does not improve the sense). Also para-tīrthya, see tīrthya .
