Paṇīta (adjective) [past participle of pa + neti in same application BHS; cf. Divy 385] 1. (literal) brought out or to, applied, executed; used with reference to punishment (see paṇeti daṇḍaṃ) Pv IV 1 66 (°daṇḍa receiving punishment = ṭhapita-sarīra-daṇḍa Pv-a 242). 2.
