【陽】 孟加拉榕(一種熱帶的印度無花果樹〔榕屬 Ficus benghalensis〕 因其枝上生有氣根,垂入土中並長成另外的樹幹,所以覆蓋面積很大。因 裝飾性和樹蔭而被種植)。~pakka,【中】 孟加拉榕的成熟果實。~parimaṇdala,【形】 有如孟加拉榕的圓周一般相稱的四肢。
<b> <c c="#a00149">Nigrodha</c> </b> (1) <br>A wanderer. Once, when he was staying with a large number of colleagues at the Udumbarikārāma near Rājagaha, Sandhāna, on his way to see the Buddha, stopped him and entered into conversation. The Buddha, by his divine ear, hearing their talk, approached them and continued the discussion with Nigrodha; this discussion is recorded in the Udumbarika Sīhanāda Sutta. <c c="#3b6bd3">DN.iii.36ff.</c> The discussion is also referred to in the Kassapa Sīhanāda Sutta. <c c="#3b6bd3">DN.i.175f.</c> There Nigrodha is said to have felt great joy, but this is not mentioned in the Udumbarika Sīhanāda. <c c="#3b6bd3">DN.iii.57</c> <br> <br> <b> <c c="#a00149">Nigrodha</c> </b> (2) <br>A monk whose Theragāthā verse speaks of overcoming fear. <c c="#3b6bd3">Thag.21</c> <br> <br> </deftext>
