Muyhati [Vedic muhyati, muh; definition Dhātup 343: mucchāyaṃ; 460: vecitte; cf. moha and momuha] to get bewildered, to be infatuated, to become dull in one's senses, to be stupified. Just as rāga, dosa and moha form a set, so do the verbs rajjati, dussati, muyhati, e.g. Miln 386 (rajjasi rajjanīyesu, dussanīyesu dussasi, muyhase mohaniyesu). Otherwise rare as finite verb; only As 254 (in definition of moha) and Saddh 282, 605 (so read for mayhate). — past participle mūḷha and muddha 1 .
