Mussati [= mr̥ś, mr̥ṣyati; to which musā "wrongly," quite different in origin from micchā: mr̥ṣā < mithyā. Dhātum 437 defines by "sammose," i.e. forgetfullness] verb intransitive: to forget, to pass into oblivion, to become bewildered, to become careless D I 19 (sati m.); Ja V 369 (the same); Snp 815 (= nassati Pj II 536; = parimussati, paribāhiro hoti Nidd I 144). — past participle muṭṭha.
