moral perfection
Moneyya (neuter) [from muni, cf. Vedic moneya] state of a muni, muni-hood; good character, moral perfection. This is always represented as threefold, viz. kāya°, vacī°, mano° (see under muni), e.g. at D III 220; A I 273; Nidd I 57; Nidd II §514 A (where also used as adjective: moneyyā dhammā properties of a perfect character). Cf. also Snp 484, 698, 700 f. On moneyya-kolāhala (forebodings of the highest wisdom) see the latter.
