Kāsāya and Kāsāva (adjective) [Sanskrit kāṣāya from the Pāli; kāsāya probably from Sanskrit śyāma or śyāva brown = Pāli sāma, with kā = kad, a kind of, thus meaning a kind of brown, i.e. yellow.
