(In spells and incantations huM is often found used with dat. ; e. g. oM kavacAyahum ). ( huMkf means ‘to utter the sound hum ’, ‘to roar, grunt, bellow, as in anuhuMkf ‘to roar in return;’ anuhuMkurute GanaDvaniM na hi gomAyurutAni kesarI Śi. 16. 25. ).
