Guhā (feminine) [Vedic guhā, guh, gūhati to hide (q.v.) Dhātup 337: saṃvaraṇa] a hiding place, a cave, cavern (cf. kandara and see giriguhā); figurative the heart (in °āsaya). According to Sp 573 (on Vin I 58, see Vinaya Texts I 174) "a hut of bricks, or in a rock, or of wood."
