<b> <c c="#a00149">Gayākassapa</c> </b> <br>One of the three Kassapa brothers. They all lived at Gayāsīsa. When Uruvelā-Kassapa was converted, Gayā-Kassapa, with his followers, joined the Order, and at the conclusion of the Ādittapariyāya Sutta they all became arahants. <c c="#3b6bd3">Vin.i.33f.</c> Gayā-Kassapa is reported <c c="#3b6bd3">Thag.345f.</c> to have said that he used to bathe three times a day at Gayātittha, in order to wash away his sins during the festival of Gayāphaggu.<br> <br> </deftext>
