Gārava (masculine and [later] neuter) [cf. Sanskrit gaurava, from garu] reverence, respect, esteem; with locative respect for, reverence towards; in the set of six venerable objects: Buddhe [Satthari], Dhamme, Saṅghe, sikkhāya, appamāde, paṭisanthāre Vin V 92 = D III 244.
