(in Skt. rare and somewhat doubtful, see BR s.v. deśaka; = Pali dhammadesaka, Childers , s.v. desaka, also app. rare), preacher of the law ; = the much commoner dharma-bhāṇaka ; in BHS , too, not common, despite the frequency of dharma-deśanā : nirāmiṣa-dh° LV 436.2 (prose), of the Tathāgata.
