Dāsaka = dāsa in °putta a slave, of the sons of the slaves, mentioned as one of the sippāyatanas at D I 51 (explained by Buddhaghosa as bala-vasinehā-gharadāsa-yodhā Sv I 157). — sadāsaka with slaves, followed by slaves Vv 32 4 . — feminine dāsikā a female slave (= dāsī) M I 126; Ja VI 554.
<b> <c c="#a00149">Dāsaka</c> </b> <br>A monk whose Theragāthā verse says that one who eats much and is lazy will keep being reborn. <c c="#3b6bd3">Thag.17</c> <br>Perhaps it is this same Dāsaka who is mentioned in the Saṃyutta Nikāya <c c="#3b6bd3">SN.iii.127ff.</c> as having been sent by the monks of Kosambī to Khemaka, carrying messages to and fro till he had walked up and down over two yojanas.<br> <br> </deftext>
