<b> <c c="#a00149">Aranemi</c> </b> <br>A brahmin teacher of a past age, given in a list of six teachers, who were purohitas. <c c="#3b6bd3">AN.iii.373</c> The others were Sunetta, Mūgapakkha, Kuddālaka, Hatthipāla and Jotipāla. In the Aṅguttara <c c="#3b6bd3">AN.iv.135f.</c> a seventh name is added, Araka.<br>They practised harmlessness and, abstaining from flesh, got rid of their lusts.
