Apiḷandha (adjective) at Vv 36 1 should be read as apiḷaddha (= Sanskrit apinaddha) past participle of apiḷandhati (apinandhati) "adorned with", or (with v.l.) as apiḷandhana; Vv-a 167 explains by analaṅkata, mistaking the a of api for a negation.
