<b> <c c="#a00149">Abhibhūta</c> </b> <br>Three verses ascribed to Abhibhūta occur in the Theragāthā, addressd to his kinsmen and retainers. <c c="#3b6bd3">Thag.255–257</c> The second of these verses is elsewhere <c c="#3b6bd3">SN.i.156</c> attributed to Abhibhū, chief disciple of Sikhī Buddha. In the Mahāparinibbāna Sutta <c c="#3b6bd3">DN.ii.121</c> the second and third verses are ascribed to the Buddha.<br> <br> </deftext>
