SrAdDa a. [ SradDA hetutvenAstyasya aR ] Faithful, believing. — dDaM 1 A funeral rite or ceremony performed in honour of the departed spirits of dead relatives; SradDayA dIyate yasmAttasmAcCrAdDaM nigadyate ; it is of three kinds: — nitya, nEmittika , and kAmya . 2 An obsequial oblation, a gift or offering at a Śrāddha.
