AkASaH -SaM [ samaMtAdAkASaMte sUrvAdayo'tra Tv. ] 1 The sky; AkASaBavAsarasvatI Ku. 4. 39 ; °ga, °cArin &c. 2 Ether (considered as the fifth element). 3 The subtle and ethereal fluid pervading the whole universe; one of the 9 dravyas or substances recognized by the Vaiśeṣikas.
