世界之初成時，金色之雲由光音天而起，徧布大空以降雨。因其色謂之金藏雲。原人論自註頌曰：「光音金藏雲，布及三千界，雨如車軸下。」佛祖統紀三十曰：「賢劫初成時，光音天，空中布金色雲，注大洪雨，猶如車軸。」
