aparagodānīyaḥ
西瞿陀尼之譯名。在須彌山西方之大洲也。其俗以牛市易，故名。俱舍論十一曰：「西牛貨洲，圓如滿月。經二千五百，周圓七千半。」俱舍頌疏世間品一曰：「西牛貨洲，以牛為貨易，故名牛貨洲。」
西瞿陀尼 (or 西瞿耶尼) The western continent of a world, Godānīya, v. 瞿, or Aparagodānīya, or Aparagodāna, "western-cattle-giving," where cattle are the medium of exchange, possibly referring to the "pecuniary" barter of the north-west.
