二門之一。對於遮情之稱而曰表德。與所謂遮詮表詮同,但表詮遮詮之目,出於法相宗,而表德遮情之稱,本於華嚴宗,真言宗盛用之。見二門條。
To manifest virtue, in contrast with 遮情 to repress the passions; the positive in deed and thought, as expounded by the 華嚴宗 Huayan school.
一表德 十六玄門釋之一。同於表詮。為「遮情」之對稱。謂張顯其所是,直示本有之性德。「遮情、表德」盛用於華嚴宗、真言宗,而「遮詮、表詮」則用於法相宗。蓋遮情表德係就法體而說,遮詮表詮則就言詮而說。〔華嚴五教止觀(杜順)〕p4429
