南傳作「進入被有行折伏後妨礙狀態」(sasaṅkhāraniggayhavāritagato)，菩提比丘長老英譯為「進入被經由努力[障礙]壓制之控制」(has arrived at control by suppressing [the hindrances] through exertion)」，「有行」(sasaṅkhāra)不易理解，菩提比丘長老1999年增支部選譯本英譯為「污穢」(the defilement)也不易理解(不具體)，2012年增支部全譯本改譯為「努力」(exertion)，這樣就與「有行般涅槃者」(sasaṅkhāraparinibbāyī)的「有行」譯法一致：「以努力而達成涅槃者」(an attainer of Nibbāna with exertion)。
