謂夏安居間之九十日也。

During the summer, the middle of the summer; the rainy reason spent by the monks of India in retirement.

一夏中指夏安居期間之九十日。據大唐西域記卷二載，中國以四月十六日至七月十五日為夏安居，分為前、中、後三期，共九十日，故有一夏九旬之稱。（參閱「安居」3010）p5134
