大毘婆沙論說五百阿羅漢集，而評釋發智論者也。其中以世友，妙音，法救，覺天之四論師為評家之正義。華嚴玄談七曰：「言評家者，婆沙是諸阿羅漢同集，而有四大阿羅漢，為評家正義：一世友，二妙音，三法救，四覺天。」
The four great scholars (among the 500 arhats) who made theVibhāṣā-śāstra, a critical commentary on the Abhidharma. Their names are 世友 Vasumitra, 妙音 Ghoṣa, 法救 Dharmatrāta, and 覺天 Buddhadeva.
