人命欲終時，有風氣，解支節如刀，名為刀風，所謂斷末魔之苦也。正法念經六十六曰：「見命終時刀風皆動，皮肉筋骨脂髓精血一切解截。」五王經曰：「欲死時刀風解形，無處不痛。」安樂集上曰：「若刀風一至，百苦輳身。」行事鈔資持記上一之下曰：「能解支節故喻如刀。」
The wind that cuts all living beings to pieces—at the approach of a world-kalpa's end; also described as the disintegrating force at death.
譯義未明，「風」指所有具流動性質者，「刀」指「鋒利而有切割作用者」。
