迦提者安居竟之月名。支那僧眾，夏安居畢，持花鳴鐃而行道曰出隊迦提。出隊者出眾隊之義。僧史略上曰：「又此土夏安居畢，僧眾持花執扇吹貝鳴鐃，引而雙行，謂之出隊迦提（取迦提月名也）。」暹羅於此月，國王整鹵簿詣諸寺，眾庶群參。謂之迦提。
The public announcement of the distribution of the kaṭhinagarment (v. 功德衣 ) in the last month of the rainy season, i. e. of the coming forth of the monks from their retreat.
一出隊迦提 出隊，出眾隊之意。迦提，為梵語 kārttika 之音譯，乃印度曆第八月之名，相當於夏安居結束時之月份。大宋僧史略卷上載，於夏安居終了時，僧眾持花、執扇、吹貝、鳴鐃而行於道，稱為出隊迦提。p2042
