即「行內止」，修學內心(煩惱)的寂止。南傳作「專修內心的止」(ajjhattaṃ cetosamathamanuyutto)，菩提比丘長老英譯為「他專心於心的內在平靜」(he is devoted to internal serenity of mind)。「止」(samatha)，音譯為「奢摩他」。
