戒律之語。自恣之日，於僧眾中請有德之人，使舉比丘之犯罪。其人乃舉罪告僧，謂之作舉。行事鈔資持記上一之五曰：「作舉，謂僧中德人，舉罪告僧。」
The accusation of sin made against particular monks by the virtuous monk who presides at the pravāraṇagathering on the last day of the summer's rest.
一作舉 為自恣作法之一。夏安居最後一日為自恣日，於此日中，特請僧眾中之有德者，舉發安居期間比丘之犯罪，其人乃舉罪告僧，稱為作舉。〔四分律行事鈔資持記卷上一之五〕（參閱「自恣」3173）p3505
