以名生法之根本體，住者所住，地者所生之義也。一切之煩惱分類為五住地。勝鬘寶窟中末曰：「言地者，本為末依，名之為住。本能生末，目之為地。」
Dwelling-place; abiding place in the Truth, i.e. the acquirement by faith of a self believing in the dharma and producing its fruits.
