五瓶為金剛界之五部，其香水表五智如來之智慧者。

一五瓶智水 為密教修法中，用以表示五佛智之五瓶香水。修法時，於大壇中央及四隅分別安置五個寶瓶，瓶中香水象徵五佛之智水，行灌頂之法時，即以瓶水灌於受法者之頂。（參閱「五瓶」1511）p1512
